It's the single most important question your child will ever ask.

At some point in everyone's life, the question, "Who is God?" will demand an answer. This question shapes every facet of a person's life. Without a working knowledge of our Creator and His character, children are left with a worldview driven by transient personal feelings and motives. Because of the self-centered nature of this worldview, Apathy is often its offspring. In contrast, a God-centered worldview focused on God's perspective of right and wrong can help a child find a deeper purpose and meaning for their life by understanding God's love for others and how that relates to them. Studies have shown that the best time to teach this important lesson is between the preschool and early elementary years. Because this is the time when basic values are determined, these years, known as the "formative years," should be considered possibly the most important in a person's life.

Designed to encourage a God-centered worldview, the "Discovering God Series" tackles those hard-to-answer questions children ask about God through endearing stories that intrigue them to learn more. Based on biblical truths, each book focuses on a different characteristic of our Creator and is written in terms that children understand. Children love the poetry and bright illustrations as well as the fun, whimsical and thought-provoking stories following the adventures of a young bear named Bailey.

Just like your child, Bailey Bear, your average five-year-old cub (and the series' main character), has questions. Lots of them! And, all about God. Through Bailey’s search for answers in each book, your child will learn a valuable lesson about God and His character that will influence their lives for years to come. But most of all, just like Bailey, they’ll learn that God loves them deeply and has a special purpose for everyone.

At an early age, Phillip W. Rodgers was inspired by personal heros Walt Disney and Charles Schulz to entertain people through his creation of artwork, stories and characters. Seeing a lack of love and grace toward one another in our fast moving society, Phillip felt the calling to make a difference by using his God-given abilities to inspire a working knowledge of God in children. In 2003, Rodgers penned the first release in the "Discovering God Series" entitled, “How Tall is God?” Since, more book titles and a stuffed Bailey Bear have been added to the "Discovering God Series" offerings. Each addition follows the mission statement, Shaping the lives of children by teaching them that they are a unique Creation made by a unique Creator.

Keep checking in. More titles and other products will be added periodically to keep up with the wandering minds of your children and Bailey Bear!
